Creating Dealer Departments

Dealer Departments are used in Konnect to help deliver communications directly to the correct users as well as helping call agents to hunt down the correct people in dealerships efficiently.


Creating dealer departments helps segment the data so that users can see what is important to themselves without stopping them gain access to the whole dealership data.


To create a Dealer Department:


Select Configuration -> Dealer Departments from the Konnect Live menu system.




Select the 'Add New Dealer Department' button and select the dealership from the list displayed as shown below:



Having selected a dealer the following pop up will be displayed:




Select a department from the drop down list and a Brand associated with this department. This allows for multiple brands in one dealership e.g. Peugeot Sales or Citroen Sales.


Select the 'ADD' button to add the dealer department. New contact types can also be added at this stage by clicking the 'Add New' hyperlink text. A description of this can be found here in Updating Dealer Department Contact Information
