When processing incoming API from R&D the JSON node misc.konnec.liveChat is checked to see if the incoming data is tagged as Live Chat or not.
The value must parse to 'true' to be accepted as Live Person incoming data.
If the incoming data is tagged as Live Person then the agent details are checked to determine which agent has handled the Live Person chat and if the system can match this agent and deliver the record to their desktop.
The incoming JSON should record the agent username in misc.konnect.agentName
The agents email address entered in set up (see Live Person Agent Set Up) is then matched against the incoming agent username above. If a match is found the record is assigned to that agent.
Note: Even though the record is assigned to an agent it can be delivered to other agents should that agent not be available to receive the data
