Summary

Users' option and functionality can be set by changing their user settings.  Most settings are hopefully self evident.

Logon

The username they will enter to logon to the system.

Phone Number

Role

Can't be changed after the user has been created.  The role will be one of:

  • Head Office - Users can see data from all dealerships.
  • Regional Manager - Users can see data from all of the dealers in a region.
  • Dealer - Users can see data from their own dealership only,

Note: Additional dealers can be added to a user's profile in the Additional Dealers section.

Dealer

The dealer where a user works.  Note that this setting is required to be set for Head Office users even though it effectively has no effect since a head office user can see all dealer data.

Department

The department within the dealership where the user works.

Has Diary

If set a user will appear in the Sales Diary and can have appointments created for them (as shown down the left hand side in the screenshot below).  Note, all sales users can view the diary.

System Functions

Each setting shows / hides the related menu section or access to an application in the Konnect system.

Additional Dealers

A user can access data from dealers other than their own dealer by selecting the checkboxes.
