Customer Care User Configuration

Summary

Users of the system can be added and managed using this User


Users List

The list of configured Users is accessible from the menu item Users.  New Users can be created and existing Users edited and deleted from within this page.

New or Edit User Popup

New Users can be created and existing users can be edited in the User Popup window.  Most fields should be self explanatory so we'll focus on the most meaningful ones.

User Dealership

A user works at a dealer & department which is configured in the main section above.  Some users work at multiple dealers which can be added at the bottom of the popup.  


User Role and Data Secuirty

This field can't be changed after the user has been created.  The role will be one of:

  • Head Office - Users can see data from all dealerships.
  • Regional Manager - Users can see data from all of the dealers in a region.
  • Dealer - Users can see data from their own dealership only,


Note: Additional dealers can be added to a user's profile in the Additional Dealers section which allows a user to see data across all of their configured dealers.


Send Email

Most users will logon to the system and use it to manage and contribute towards the completion of Cases and these users will need to be sent a registration email so they can setup their password.  Other users are useful to have in the system as a name & contact but will not normally logon to the system. For these users, do not send them an email as they don't need it.  They can be sent an email at a later date if a logon is required.
